Christina Marie Chapman, an Arizona-based TikTok influencer, has been sentenced to eight and a half years in prison for her involvement in a North Korean scheme to infiltrate the U.S. tech workforce. The operation aimed to fund the regime's weapons program through illicit means.

Chapman operated a 'laptop farm' from her residence, enabling North Korean IT workers to remotely access U.S. networks while masking their true locations. Over 300 job placements at major American companies, including Fortune 500 firms and a leading aerospace manufacturer, were facilitated through her efforts.

Convicted on charges of wire fraud conspiracy, aggravated identity theft, and money laundering, Chapman was ordered to forfeit $284,000 and pay $176,850 in restitution. Her case underscores the sophisticated methods employed by adversarial nations to exploit global financial and technological systems.
